Creasta Cocosului Geological Reserve is centered around the narrow jagged andesite ridge, a vestige of a former volcanic crater, who’s name is translated ” the Rooster’s Peak.”

New on 500px : Heron in Autumn ❖ Héron à l’automne by blue_iris by blue_iris

This heron is doing some last minute fishing before heading South. During the summer months, it seems that a heron can spend 1/2 hr standing still before catching anything but that day in November, he was catching quite a few fish, mostly really small ones (like the tiny one he has in his beak).

New on 500px : Autumn sunset ❖ Coucher de soleil d’automne by blue_iris by blue_iris

There may not be a lot of colours around here these days with the leaves gone from the trees, but at least we have had a few beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

Wishing you all a great week-end!

Même si les couleurs sont disparues de notre quotidien ces temps-ci, au moins nous avons droit à quelques couchers ou levers de soleil haut en couleur.

Bon week-end à tous! via Tumblr http://ift.tt/1kuQ6VT

Most of the leaves are gone from the trees, and I missed the fall colours, but one thing I do like is to see the tree skeletons. I love to see the essence of the trees, without any adornment. via Tumblr http://bit.ly/1knWtd3
